A.G. International Chemical Company Inc. (AGIC) was established in 1968 as a 50/50 joint venture between Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company Inc. (MGC) and BP (former Amoco Chemical). Since 1969, AGIC has been producing and selling Isophthalic acid in Asia and other countries.  'AGIC PIA (Purified Isophthalic Acid)' is familiar with the reliable brand name for Isophthalic acid.  
 Demand for high purity Isophthalic acid is increasing globally as a raw material and/or modifier of various polymer compounds. Since 2008, AGIC has had a total PIA production capacity of 220kMtons/year from three Japanese plants, Mizushima Plants No.1 and 2 (120Mtons/year) and Plant No.3, in
Matsuyama (100Mtons/year).
 Today, the goal of AGIC is to stably supply PIA with superior quality by using the rich MX resource of our parent company MGC.
