A.G. International Chemical Company
Inc. (AGIC) was established in 1968 as a 50/50 joint venture between
Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company Inc. (MGC) and BP (former Amoco Chemical).
Since 1969, AGIC has been producing and selling Isophthalic
acid in Asia and other countries. 'AGIC PIA (Purified Isophthalic Acid)'
is familiar with the reliable brand name for Isophthalic
acid.
Demand for high purity Isophthalic acid is increasing globally as a raw material
and/or modifier of various polymer compounds. Since 2008, AGIC has had a
total PIA production capacity of 220kMtons/year from three Japanese plants,
Mizushima Plants No.1 and 2 (120Mtons/year) and
Plant No.3, in Matsuyama (100Mtons/year).
Today, the goal of AGIC is to stably supply PIA with superior quality
by using the rich MX resource of our parent company MGC.
